The Shenandoah Valley Indie Bookshop Crawl invites readers to explore independent bookshops across the region, from Winchester to Buena Vista, discovering their unique character while supporting local cultural spaces and communities.

More than a shopping experience, it is a way to travel slowly, connect with booksellers, and enjoy the landscape, towns, and rhythm of the Valley. The event takes place from April 10 to 25, 2026, bringing together book lovers across the area.

Participants can enter a $50 prize draw from their favorite bookshop and, by visiting 7 or more shops and collecting stamps, qualify for a grand prize of $225 in gift cards.
